CooperVision, a leading contact lens maker, has subsidiaries in dozens of countries. In 2012, CooperVision undertook an initiative to harmonize its Brand and Web experience, regardless of the country. CooperVision wanted to consolidate all websites onto a single Drupal-based platform, allowing updates to easily be pushed out to all countries and to unify branding and functionality. Kosada was able to help CooperVision create an adaptable website platform that is now live in seven countries, including China and the United Kingdom, with more planned to go live soon.

CooperVision sought a team with strong programming and database skills and experience building custom Drupal modules from scratch, since the platform needed to be flexible and powerful, as well as deployed in several languages. CooperVision put out a call for Drupal expertise, first to better understand the scope of the problem. Kosada responded, and was selected to analyze the problem, work on the solution, and integrate new features such as a practitioner locator. Work commenced in January and finished in July 2012.

Kosada's team leader Steve Mokris remarks, "We knew CooperVision needed to take sites live on a tight schedule, which presented a challenge in developing, assembling, and testing the right mix of Drupal modules to meet CooperVision's requirements." One of the requirements was to ensure that non-technical users in each country could control the content and layout of their specific site, while still retaining a common structure.

Kosada chose to make use of the Drupal Features module ecosystem to manage common functionality between the arrays of international sites. As part of the development process, Kosada contributed numerous patches and improvements back to the Drupal community, as well as the brand new module PURL Static, used by the CooperVision platform to differentiate between major sections of the website.

The United Kingdom, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Malaysia, China, and Singapore sites are now live. April Lyall, CooperVision's Front End Web Developer, wrote "I have been ecstatic with the work you did for us."
