The Sexual Assault Prevention Program of southeastern Ohio had a hand-coded HTML website with no easy way to update content, let alone to change elements on multiple pages at once, like the footer. The website was also out of compliance with accessibility standards, with much of the important content being delivered only as text within images. Kosada converted all necessary content into accessible pages, paragraphs, and tables, improving search engine availability as well as accessibility. We also implemented the visual design that one of their volunteers had designed, adapting it to make room for links and menus to further enable usability. We added an "upcoming events" block, front-page blog for events, news, and announcements. We used Drupal to allow easy content updating by volunteers with administrative access, with a rich text editor and preview feature.Read more

Erie Plating Company's website features:

• A fully searchable dynamic list of their regularly-run finishing and coating job types filterable on fields such as name, substrate metal, and effect.
• Individualized contact forms for each of their management contacts, as well as a site-wide email contact form.
• Image galleries of various aspects of plant function
• Front-page newsblog for press releases and updates
• Custom forms for customer interaction such as request for quote forms and surveys, with trackable response storage and analysis.

Asian American Community Services of Central Ohio wanted to give its public website as well as its internal appointment management system a major makeover. Kosada has helped them switch from their client-side method of website management to using Drupal for a combined solution, and made the visual design match the company's new letterhead. Read more

Sterling Commerce, an AT&T company, already had a public website, but they were interested in a small, simple, fast, and clean solution for internal communication among a small group of corporate development directors. Their requests:

• A blog for internal news
• A mailing list for group announcements
• A simple, clean, minimally-styled interface

Kosada recently designed and implemented a secure, anonymous web interface for OSU psychology student Berae McClary's junior research project.

We built an unobtrusive, highly functional, user-friendly interface to allow study participants to make their preference decisions as free from outside influence as possible. We allowed the user to simply click on the images in the order of preference — click the favorite first, and so on. As the user selected choices, the ones already selected grayed out and a ranking number appeared below. If a user changed his or her mind, or entered something mistakenly, a button at the bottom of the screen made it easy to reset the question without affecting the other questions. A small bar at the top indicated how far along in the survey the user was at any given time.

Kosada is hosting a suite of TWiki applications for Erie Plating Company — providing a repository for their IT knowledge, IT inventory, IT task management, and, increasingly, administrative documentation. We've customized TWiki to meet the data storage needs of Erie Plating Company — the goal being that employees will have one common location to store and retrieve data that can be easily customized and expanded when needed. Kosada has worked with M2M Editions and their web host to upgrade 2010virtual, one of their TWiki-based websites, to the latest version and also to install and customize additional TWiki plugins. As a result of the upgrade, Kosada needed to re-style the website. While we did not design the site graphically, we did implement the conceptual design that was provided to us.
