This plugin causes Quartz Composer to load plugins from ~/Library/Graphics/Plugins/, giving user-level control of Quartz Composer plugins. This was necessary for Tiger users to have User-local plugins (instead of system-wide ones). Leopard fixes this.

This Official-API Patch PlugIn allows other Official-API plugins to have subpatches by unlocking Subpatch support for Official-API Quartz Composer Plugins. To use this in your Official-API plugins, simply add a +(BOOL)allowsSubpatches method that returns YES to allow subpatches in your patch.
Frustrated with the tedium of going through all the Xcode project files in a text editor and manually replacing all of the identifiers and filenames when creating a new Quartz Composer Patch, we created a new Xcode template for custom Quartz Composer patches.
To make a Quartz Composer Patch, now all you need to do is:
1. Create a new Xcode project with this template
2. Give the project a name
3. Build the project
4. Move the .plugin file into /Library/Graphics/Patches/ — The template does this for you now.
5. Launch Quartz Composer
And, of course, modify the code, if you want to do something other than nothing.
