Plain City Auction
Plain City Auction's wireless network installed by Kosada

  • Description Of Client
    • Plain City Auction is located in downtown Plain City, Ohio just Northwest of Columbus, Ohio. Typically items are sold on consignment, but some items may be purchased outright. Quantities as low as one item and as high as an entire household may be sold through the auction. Usually the sale of the items is handled in the auction house, but auctions can take place in alternate locations if desired. The auction house completes hundreds of transactions at their POS terminals, including credit and debit card transactions. They manage their sales through their POS software which is accessible from their teller terminals as well as two other terminals used by auctioneers on the auction floor to enter bidder information.

  • What Kosada did:
    • Kosada provided Plain City Auction with a complete solution during their renovation.  We installed a network head-end located in their main office which included trunk telco service, telephone router, dsl modem, network router and firewall, and wireless access point.  We also relocated their existing CCTV security system, enclosing their multiplexer and recorder in a tamper-proof lock box.  The renovation included the installation and configuration of three new credit-card terminals that utilize the broadband connection.  In anticipation of future expansion, we installed more-than-adequate wiring — providing the client, for a five-person office, over twenty endpoints which can be patched for telephone or network use, and six coax drops that can be patched for cable television or CCTV use.  The project included the integration of servers, computers, credit card terminals, and printers over one broadband network connection.
